Download the Character Trainer mod. It allows exporting and Importing of your character's profile, as well as companions. It's basically Warbands style, just as a mod. Would be awesome if they give you the feature to export clan level as well.

You can start the game by having room for about 100 men at level 1. That makes your "army" very slow and very costly, which are 2 things you dont wanna suffer early game. Yet tho, theyre v useful later on. Leadership takes 5% off wages every level and charisma gives you more slots added with the leadership.
